Mr. Berthe Abou-Karim is Project Director of Cote d’Ivoire Cotton & Cashew Council (CCA)/ Le Conseil du Coton et de L’Anacarde (CCA) Cote d’Ivoire.
The Cote d’Ivoire Cotton and Cashew Council is the body responsible for the regulation, monitoring, and development of the cotton and cashew sectors. It was officially established on October 29, 2013, under Law No. 2013-656 dated September 13, 2013. Mamadou Berté has been the Director General of the Cotton and Cashew Council since July 11, 2024.
The Cote d’Ivoire Cotton and Cashew Council was created to take over from the Cotton and Cashew Regulatory Authority (ARECA) in establishing and monitoring a regulatory framework to create an environment that ensures better governance of the two sectors, with the aim of guaranteeing better remuneration for stakeholders.
